Mewar University

Mewar University was established by an Act no.4 of 2009 of Government of Rajasthan. The University is the sole university in the District of Chittorgarh (Rajasthan). It seeks to offer its students with the best skills and knowledge so that they may shine out in as thorough and well bred professional and/or technocrats in their respective industries. Mewar university faculties are of a high class and dedicated to the welfare of the students.

The promoters of the Mewar University are the Mewar University is promoted by Mewar Education Society (MES). Mewar University, an autonomous body became a deemed university on the promulgation by the Government of Rajasthan through its Act. No. 4 of 2009 and it was later approved by the UGC under u/s 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956, with the right to confer degree under u/s 22(1) of the UGC Act vide letter No.F.9-15/2009 (CPP-I) dt. 30 March 2009. Mewar university admission is strictly on merit basis. The university has laid down its admission policy on the university website. The Mewar university admission form dates are also announced on the official website of the university.

Mewar University is the sole University in the District of Chittorgarh (Rajasthan), largely serving the otherwise student community of Bhilwara, Neemuch, Rajsamand, Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Bundi, Udaipur(Rural), Kota etc. The Mewar region of Rajasthan is well endowed in being rich in terms of agriculture, industrial and business.


However, in the field of higher, technical and vocational education much remains to be promoted. Hence, the Mewar University possesses a special significance for the region of Mewar. The Mewar university syllabus is well designed in order to cater to the future career needs of the students.The University campus is located in the predominantly agricultural area of the Aravali ranges. It has a huge area covering 30 acres (120,000 m2) land at Gangrar of Chittorgarh District (Rajasthan).
